Can I install ThemeGuard from the App Store?
Not yet. ThemeGuard is in testing and has not been published on the Shopify App Store.
Will an update replace my live theme?
Update creates a new, unpublished theme. Review it in Shopify before publishing. The selected source theme is not overwritten.
Will every customization transfer?
Only customizations compatible with the fresh package can carry over. Removed or renamed settings, sections, and blocks may need manual work. Read the update result and preview the theme.
Do backups run when the tab is closed?
No. Manual backups run on your device and need the tab to remain open. Hosted scheduled backups are not provided.
Where are my backups stored?
Completed archives can be downloaded to your device. Sonothemes does not host backup archives. Google Drive is not configured for the separate ThemeGuard app yet.
What does ThemeGuard cost?
Paid billing has not been configured for ThemeGuard. Pricing from the separate ThemeUp app should not be treated as ThemeGuard pricing.

Use Sonothemes support. Include the affected operation and the visible error, but do not email archive passwords, access tokens, or customer data. Read our privacy policy and data-processing terms.
