Show an age-confirmation dialog before visitors enter the storefront. Configure it in the theme editor's Popups group, rather than in a page's normal section list.

How to use it

  1. Open Compose in the theme editor and expand Popups in the sidebar.
  2. Edit or add Age restriction. Enable its visibility when you are ready to show it to customers.
  3. Edit the heading, explanatory text, and buttons. The confirmation button must keep its link set to #age-accept so it unlocks the storefront.
  4. Set the decline button's link to the destination you want visitors to use if they do not confirm their age.
  5. Set Remember confirmation to the required duration. Adjust Maximum width, spacing, alignment, Color scheme, and Accessible label as needed.
  6. Save and test in a fresh private browser session on desktop and mobile.

Good to know
  • Confirmation is remembered in the visitor's browser for the configured duration. A fresh browser or cleared storage can show the dialog again.
  • The dialog cannot be dismissed with Escape or an ordinary close button; visitors use the confirmation or decline action.
  • The theme editor can show the popup even when a storefront visitor has already confirmed their age.
  • This is a visitor's self-confirmation, not an identity or age-verification service.
